Children aged 17 and below can ride the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) for free on Wednesday, Nov. 4, in celebration of National Children's Month.

The Department of Transportation-MRT-3 and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), which operates LRT-2, announced the free rides as part of their respective initiatives with the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC).

The free rides will be available during two time periods: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The LRTA said the program is part of its participation in the 34th National Children's Month celebration and aims to recognize the importance of children in society.

National Children's Month is observed every November in the Philippines.
