Filipina tennis star Alex Eala has climbed to a career-high No. 17 in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings as of Monday, Nov. 2.

The new ranking makes Eala the highest-ranked Filipino and Southeast Asian tennis player in WTA Tour history.

Eala also holds the No. 146 spot in the WTA doubles rankings.

The 21-year-old Filipina continues her campaign on the WTA Tour as she prepares to face familiar opponent Alycia Parks in the Hong Kong Open on Wednesday.

Eala will look to build on her historic rise as she continues to establish herself among the world's top women's tennis players.
