Manila recorded 40 new dengue cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 4,579 from Jan. 1 to Nov. 4, according to the Manila Health Department.
The city also reported 13 deaths related to dengue during the same period, based on its latest Daily W.I.L.D. Disease Update released Nov. 4, 2026.
Aside from dengue, the health department recorded one new typhoid fever case, 34 new cases of influenza-like illness (ILI) and 10 cases of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI).
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso urged residents not to ignore symptoms and to seek medical attention immediately.
“Huwag nating hintayin na lumala ang sintomas. Kung may nararamdaman, magpakonsulta agad sa pinakamalapit na health facility,” Domagoso said.
Residents were reminded to remain vigilant and seek early medical consultation to help prevent complications from infectious diseases.
