The Philippine Embassy in Paris has urged Filipinos living in France to prepare 72-hour emergency kits and remain vigilant amid ongoing protests in the European country.

In an advisory, the Embassy said French authorities have reminded the public to prepare emergency supplies as part of the government's regular measures to strengthen national resilience and ensure preparedness during possible crises.

The Embassy also advised Filipinos to take necessary precautions amid protests that continue to take place in France.

Among its recommendations, the Embassy urged Filipinos to keep their passports, residence permits and other important documents readily accessible.

They were also advised to maintain sufficient cash in euros in case electronic payment systems become unavailable, establish communication and meeting plans with family members, and regularly monitor official government alerts.

The Embassy further reminded the Filipino community to keep the contact details of Philippine diplomatic officials and French authorities accessible in case of emergencies.

Filipinos needing emergency assistance may contact the Embassy through its Assistance-to-Nationals hotline at +33 6 80 11 52 71 or its Consular Hotline at +33 6 20 59 25 15.

They may also send their concerns through email at [email protected].

The Embassy assured the Filipino community that it remains ready to assist Filipinos in distress.
