Manila South Cemetery’s free ride service has been suspended due to an overwhelming number of visitors this All Saints’ Day.
According to the cemetery’s Officer-in-Charge, John Mark Mendez, the operation of over 20 e-trikes provided by the local government was suspended due to the continuously growing number of visitors, reported RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort.
Mendez said they worry the e-trikes may cause an accident while operating amid dense crowds.
Apart from emergency vehicles, any other vehicle, regardless of type, is strictly prohibited on the cemetery premises.
