Magnitude 4.8 earthquake jolts Bauang, La Union

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake jolted Bauang, La Union, on Thursday, November 13, at 5:57 PM. 

According to PHIVOLCS, the quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 10 km. Intensities one to three were reported in the following areas.

Intensity I- Itogon, BENGUET

Instrumental Intensities:

Intensity III - City of Vigan, ILOCOS SUR; Bani, PANGASINAN;

Intensity II - San Fernando, LA UNION; CITY OF DAGUPAN

Intensity I - Bangar and Santol, LA UNION; Bolinao, PANGASINAN

No damage or aftershocks are expected from the quake.
