Authorities failed to arrest former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag after he was not found at a poultry farm in Lamut, Ifugao, during a police operation early Sunday, November 1.
According to Lamut Mayor Mariano Buyagawan Jr., local police received intelligence information suggesting that Bantag was hiding at a poultry farm in Sitio Alupapan, Barangay Pugol, allegedly posing as a poultry worker.
The police group launched an operation at around 5:00 a.m. However, Bantag was nowhere to be found when authorities arrived at the location.
Despite the operation, authorities failed to locate the former corrections chief.
